Gary Lachenmyer, PA-C

Ask Gary Lachenmyer what inspired him to become a medical provider and he will point to “Emergency,” a favorite television show of his in the 1970s. After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Air Force as a medic and his experience while serving led him to choose physician assistant as his career. After completing his medical training, Gary was given the opportunity to work with a prominent professor of neurosurgery, which further shaped his training and his decision to specialize in neurosurgery. As part of the neurosurgical team at The Center, he enjoys helping patients overcome their pain and suffering, and finds it extremely rewarding to care for patients from diagnosis through recovery. Gary and his wife moved to Bend in 1999 and consider it the ideal place to raise their two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, fishing, bird hunting, spending time with family, and tending to his acreage and horses.
