The Center and Harney District Hospital team up to provide orthopedic care in Harney County

The Center is pleased to welcome Brad Mangum, ANP, to our growing orthopedics team. In an effort to establish a successful orthopedic program at Harney District Hospital (HDH) in Burns, Brad Mangum will serve full time at HDH and will assist The Center orthopedic surgeons that see patients in Burns, Anthony Hinz, Timothy Bollom, and James Verheyden.

Mangum’s vast experience assisting with orthopedic surgical cases includes working with spine, hand, sports, and general orthopedic surgeons. Before joining HDH, Mangum held a position with a rural medical center in Gooding, Idaho, where he established and ran a successful orthopedic program similar to what is being launched at HDH. He is passionate for the opportunity to provide excellent orthopedic care to the Harney County community, which may help reduce the need for patients to travel hours away for care.

Coordinating with our surgeons, Mangum will do pre-operative and post-operative care for patients, as well as assist on orthopedic surgeries being performed.  “We have three quality surgeons from The Center with decades of experience. On top of that, we have a great team at HDH. All the ingredients are here,” says Mangum. His enthusiasm and commitment to offering quality, compassionate care is a natural fit for the growing relationship between The Center and Harney District Hospital, and we are excited to continue offering the community of Harney excellent orthopedic care with the addition of Brad Mangum.
