ABOUT Dr. Jason Koerner

Dr. Koerner, a specialist in hand, elbow, and shoulder surgery, is dedicated to providing the highest quality care through both surgical and non-surgical treatment options. He excels at solving complex problems, helping patients regain function and return to the activities they love.

Driven by a desire to make a tangible difference in patients’ lives, Dr. Koerner chose a career in orthopedic surgery. He works collaboratively with his patients to help them fully understand their treatment options and actively participate in their care.

Dr. Koerner completed his medical training at the University of Colorado, which emphasized high energy orthopedic trauma. During training, he covered multiple Level 1 trauma centers, including the Children’s Hospital of Colorado and Denver Health. Following this, he attended the renowned Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center, where he trained under a distinguished team of hand surgeons. This rigorous training covered a wide range of procedures, including hand, micro-vascular, nerve, elbow replacement, shoulder replacement, and rotator cuff surgery.

Originally from a rural mountain town in Colorado, Dr. Koerner is excited to bring his expertise to the Central Oregon community. Outside of work, he enjoys brewing espresso, golfing, fly fishing, and downhill skiing.
