With The Pavilion opening in 2015, ice hockey is one of the fastest growing sports in Central Oregon. It also has a reputation for high injury rates because it involves high speeds and a lot of contact. At The Center, the most common hockey injuries we treat are wrist injuries and concussions. Minor strains, sprains, and bruises are also common, but can usually be treated at home with basic first aid and the RICE protocol. Here are some tips to keep players healthy and safe on the ice:
