Insurance and Referral Specialist

We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented person to join our team.  If you have strong basic computer skills and experience working with health insurance, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify eligibility, benefits, and referral requirements of the patient’s insurance plans by utilizing various online programs and resources.
  • Ensure that insurance carriers and patients will be called as needed regarding coverage, benefits and financials.
  • Ensure all incoming referrals are handled effectively and efficiently.
  • Accurately enter appointments into scheduling system as needed.

Medical Assistant

We are seeking a reliable back office Medical Assistant to join our team. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of patients. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patient for exam and treatment. Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records.
  • Accurately document phone conversations, prescription refills given, samples provided, and appointments for tests and referrals.
  • Write up or electronically enter tests, procedures, referrals, surgeries and work up slips.

Skills:

  • Previous MA or closely related experience (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Medical Assistant/Occ Med Technician

We are seeking a Medical Assistant or Occ Med Tech to join our occupational medicine team.  This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday. Possible 4-day work week after 90 days if desired.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a variety of services for patients/clients including drug screens, audiogram testing and phlebotomy procedures.
  • Conduct face-to-face interviews with patients to obtain medical history.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records.
  • Accurately document phone conversations, prescription refills given, samples provided, and appointments for tests and referrals.
  • Write up or electronically enter tests, procedures, referrals, surgeries and work-up slips.

Skills:

  • Must be certified or licensed to perform venipuncture.  
  • Knowledge in EKG and PFT is preferred but we will train the right candidate (tell us why you would like to work in the occ med department!).
  • Previous experience as an MA, LPN, paramedic, phlebotomist, or military medic preferred.
  • Good organizational skills, computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Excellent customer service and professionalism.

Medical Billing Specialist

We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented person to join our Billing team.  If you are a team player with experience in insurance AR collections and or insurance verification in a medical environment, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time position Mon-Fri 8:30-5:00 with the possibility to work remotely in Central Oregon once training is complete.

Responsibilities:

  • Review patient accounts for accuracy in all areas including insurance, charges, and payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding insurance balances by working A/R reports, processing denials and correspondence.
  • Contact insurance carriers as needed to follow-up on outstanding AR billing.
  • Rebill carriers, track and initiate appeals as needed.
  • Process and post insurance refunds.
  • Assist patient in understanding account status and alert patient to required actions for account resolution.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls from patients and insurance carriers and follow-up accordingly.

Skills:

  • Strong basic computer skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with emphasis on insurance credit reports, outstanding claims queue, paper insurance correspondence.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and accepted abbreviations.
  • Ability to learn and understand medical insurance processing, insurance denials, regulations and requirements which includes Medicare, Medicaid (OMAP/OHP), Non Contract, Contract, MVA, Workman Compensation, HCFA & EDI.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers in all departments
  • Previous insurance AR collections, insurance verification, and/or aging experience in a medical environment desired.

Medical Entry Screener/Patient Greeter

We are seeking a friendly and helpful individual to join our team as an Entry Screener and Patient Greeter. We receive as many as 300+ patients per day. The Entry Screener/Patient Greeter will greet and welcome patients and screen them for COVID-19 symptoms following our protocol. May also provide general information and directions. This can be a full-time (with benefits) or part-time position, you choose!

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and screen patients in a friendly manner for COVID-19 symptoms.
  • Provide assistance such as giving directions and general information.

Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
  • Friendly and pleasant demeanor.

Orthopedic Technologist

We are seeking an Ortho Tech to join our team. We are a busy clinic with 28 orthopedic providers in addition to our neurosurgical and PMR providers. This is a full-time position. We have four separate clinic locations in the Bend/Redmond area that this position would travel to each week.

Responsibilities:

  • Application and removal of casts and splints.
  • Application and fitting of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
  • Preparing and assisting with minor surgical procedures using aseptic technique.
  • Directing patients in home rehabilitation exercise programs.
  • Performing minor wound care and suture/staple removal.

Skills/Experience:

  • Prior experience in the orthopedic setting is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor’s degree in AT or degree from an Orthopedic Technology program or related field is required.
  • Current OTC certification is desired but not required.

    Patient Financial Services Specialist

    We are seeking a positive, detail-oriented person to join our Financial Services team.  If you are a team player with experience working with medical insurance and/or collections in a medical environment, we want to hear from you. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, typically 8:30 am – 5:00 pm. Some flexibility with daily start and end times may be available. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with patients on all financial aspects of care including reviewing payment options, insurance coverage, and keeping account balances current.
    • Provide estimates on surgeries, MRI, etc. for patients as needed.
    • Answer billing questions and process patient payments as needed.

    Skills:

    • Strong basic computer skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Good math skills required.
    • Medical insurance knowledge and prior experience with collections a plus.
    • Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers in all departments.

      Patient Services Specialist

We are a high-volume medical clinic and see an average of up to 400 patients a day between our four locations. If you are a team player with the ability to multitask, we’re interested in hearing from you. This is a full-time position. 

      Responsibilities:

      • Answer high volume of incoming calls
      • Greet patients at reception and check them in for appointments
      • Obtain, verify and update patient demographics and insurance information
      • Schedule future appointments
      • Process co-payments
      • Screen patients and visitors for COVID based on current guidelines

        Physician Assistants - Orthopedic

        We are seeking several orthopedic Physician Assistants to join our growing organization in the following specialties: foot/ankle, sports medicine, total joint, and trauma. Some orthopedic experience required. Each position includes being a first assist in surgery, hospital rounding, providing independent clinic services including H&Ps, follow up and post op visits, injections, and acute injury evaluation. You will be part of a large Orthopedic PA call group rotation with approximately 12 PAs supporting the physician on primary call, thus the call burden is quite low and is reimbursed as additional income. Moving allowance available. Our competitive compensation package includes a salary based on experience, quarterly bonus potential, as well as an excellent benefit package.

        Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery

        We are seeking an experienced physician assistant (PA) to join our Neurosurgical team. You will provide support for surgery, hospital rounds, H&P’s, and first call on a rotational basis. You will be part of a two Neurosurgeon, three PA group. Prior neurosurgical or spine experience desired. Our multi-specialty group includes 24 fellowship trained physicians and 21 PAs in a well-established successful practice. NCCPA certification needed. Current Oregon medical license preferred, but not required for applications to be considered. Moving allowance available.

        Radiology Technologist

        We are seeking several X-ray Techs to join our team. Full-time, part-time, and per diem positions are available. ARRT or equivalent required, C-arm experience desired but not required. Must be detail oriented and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

        Radiology Technologist - Cascade Surgicenter

        Cascade Surgicenter (located at The Center in Bend) is seeking a full-time or part-time C-arm radiology tech to join our team. C-arm experience and ARRT or equivalent required.

        Registered Nurses

        Cascade Surgicenter (located at The Center in Bend) is seeking experienced RNs, full time or per diem, for positions in Admit/Recovery, Pre-Admission, and Operating Room (OR). Relevant experience required for each position. BLS and current licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing is required for all positions. Weekdays only – no weekends.

        Scheduling Specialist
        We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented person to join our team as a scheduling specialist. The Center is a high volume medical clinic that sees an average of up to 400 patients a day between our four locations. If you are a team player with the ability to multitask, we’re interested in hearing from you. Entry level pay is $18.00 per hour.

        Responsibilities:

        • Greet patients, visitors, and medical staff in a consistently friendly and courteous manner.
        • Answer the telephone promptly and handle patient inquiries regarding appointments, prescription refills, non-medical questions, order status, and clinical department requests in a friendly and efficient manner.
        • Maintain, verify and update patient demographics and insurance information while maintaining confidentiality according to company policies.
        • Accurately enter appointments and related data into scheduling system.
        • Adhere to and implement insurance and billing policies.
        • Deliver customer service and/or patient care in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.

        Surgical Tech

        Cascade Surgicenter (located at The Center in Bend) is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech to join our team. This can be full-time or per diem. Must have knowledge of all basic set-ups for surgical procedures. Successful completion of OR Surgical Tech course (or equivalent) and 1 year scrubbing experience required. Orthopedic experience preferred. No nights or weekends.
