Neurosurgery Physician

We are seeking a BC/BE neurosurgeon to join our growing practice. This position includes a partnership opportunity as well as potential for ownership in a successful ambulatory surgery center. Our practice consists of a collection of two neurosurgeons, 15 orthopedists and 8 physiatrists supported by a team of 20 physician assistants. Our hospital is a Level II trauma center covering a tri-county area with call shared with other independent community neurosurgeons. Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon

We are seeking a fellowship trained Orthopedic Trauma surgeon to join our orthopedic, neurosurgery and physical medicine & rehabilitation practice in Central Oregon.  A secondary interest outside of trauma would be helpful but not required. Working at a busy Level II Trauma Center, this position includes a partnership opportunity as well as potential for ownership in a successful ambulatory surgery center.

We have a strong collaboration with St. Charles Medical Center, which serves as a Level II trauma center covering a tri-county area with a dedicated orthopedic trauma operating room. The right person will be instrumental in collaborating with our current orthopedic trauma physicians and other regional independent orthopedic trauma physicians in the expansion of the current program for the benefit of the Central Oregon region.

    Athletic Trainer

    The essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Provide evaluation, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
    • Provide AT services during and for athletic practices, home competitions and travel to away varsity football games. Availability for event coverage in the evening and some weekends is required.
    • Position may include cast room work; duties will include casting, splinting, bracing, wound care and assisting in office based surgical procedure
    • Communication with student-athletes, coaches, and parents/guardians regarding student-athlete injuries. Act as a liaison between family physicians and specialist, coaches, school administration, school nurse, student-athletes and their parents.
    • Maintain accurate medical records of injuries, and treatments.
    • Provide concussion management services in accordance with The Center Foundation Concussion Protocol, including the utilization of ImPACT baseline and post-concussion testing.
    • Assist with The Center Foundation events and programs and act as a representative within the community. Duties may include blog writing; and assistance with fundraisers, medical conference and other events put on by The Center Foundation.

    Qualifications:

    • BOC certification required.
    • Currently licensed (preferred) or eligible for athletic training licensure in Oregon.
    • Previous high school athletic training experience is a plus
    • Previous experience with ImPACT or similar program is preferred. ITAT certification is a plus.
    • Experience using Healthy Roster injury documentation software or similar.
    • Orthopedic clinical experience is plus but not required. We will provide training to the right candidate.
    • Candidates must exhibit strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Demonstration of cultural awareness, including an understanding of different perspectives, the ability to interact respectfully with cultures other than their own, and ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with people from different cultural or socio-economic backgrounds.

     

    Director of Human Resources

    We are seeking a Director of Human Resources as part of our leadership team. The Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of all aspects of the human resource function. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Human Resources plans, organizes, administers and oversees all activities of the Human Resources department. In addition, this important role provides overall leadership and guidance to others regarding all HR functions by working as a strategic business advisor and member of the executive team regarding key organizational and management issues. This position influences, guides, and works closely with many different areas of the organization to provide best practices in human resource management. This position also oversees the payroll processing and credentialing of providers. 

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Plans, organizes, administer and oversees all activities of the Human Resources department. Provides overall leadership and guidance to others regarding all HR functions. Functions as a strategic business advisor as a member of the executive team regarding key organizational and management issues.
    • Provides on-going coaching and consultation to the management team to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on a variety of HR matters and provides guidance in effective supervision strategies.
    • Develops and administers various activities to foster and drive employee engagement and a high performance culture.
    • Conducts internal investigations and makes appropriate recommendations as needed. Consults with legal counsel as appropriate, or as directed by the CEO.
    • Assists executive management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization’s wage and salary program. Implements and annually updates the compensation program; rewrites job descriptions as necessary; conducts annual salary surveys; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
    • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees. Researches renewal options, performs annual re-evaluation and makes recommendations for change as appropriate.
    • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates and conduct reference checks; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; conducts exit interviews.
    • Maintains knowledge of federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all personnel matters and ensures organization’s compliance. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
    • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures.
    • Develops and maintains a human resource information system (HRIS).
    • Oversees credentialing for providers.
    • Oversees payroll processing.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience required. Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field, preferred.
    • SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
    • 7+ years of progressive related work experience required.
    • 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.
    • Strong HR generalist experience required.
    • Ability to handle personnel matters with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity.
    • Strong basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to quickly learn new applications.
    • Experience with HRIS and ability to generate reports.
    • Effective team leader with a collaborative leadership style.
    • Excellent communicator with ability to proactively and thoughtfully communicate with all levels of the organization.

    EHR and Clinical Informatics Manager

    The EHR and Clinical Informatics Manager, under the direction of the IT Director, is a key cross-functional role that supports both clinicians and clinical support teams in using The Center’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. The Center’s EHR systems include (but are not limited to): The Center’s clinical documentation platform, practice management applications, and patient engagement applications.

    The EHR and Clinical Informatics Manager works closely with The Center’s IT team and Clinic Leadership to ensure that The Center effectively utilizes its EHR systems, evaluates areas for improved efficiencies, processes, and workflows, and coordinates and implements changes. The EHR and Clinical Informatics Manager also assists with initial and ongoing training and support of The Center’s EHR systems, assists with system upgrades or enhancements, and works with outside partners while adhering to company standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

    The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or a related field and 5+ years of related work experience. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

     The essential duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Work closely with clinical providers and clinical support teams to facilitate the effective and efficient use of The Center’s EHR systems.
    • Function as an EHR “champion” and a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
    • Works to understand current workflows and processes and how these workflows and processes are impacted by system changes, application updates, or enhancements.
    • Proactively research and suggest workflow enhancements to reduce manual processes or create other efficiencies.
    • Work with the IT Team, Training Coordinator, and Clinic Leadership to develop and deliver initial and ongoing training to support clinicians and clinical workflows.
    • Has a good understanding of Allscripts EHR products, including Allscripts TouchWorks (v19), Allscripts Practice Management (v20), and associated applications.
    • Has a good understanding of (or willingness to learn) other healthcare-related software applications as needed to support The Center’s future application mix.
    • Has a good understanding of (or willingness to learn) healthcare reporting and quality applications, including MIPS and patient-reported outcome platforms.
    • Assists providers and clinical team members with the optimization of ancillary clinical applications, including (but not limited to): Nuance Dragon/DAX, EPIC/EPIC Care Link, and clinical registries.
    • Collaboratively works with The Center’s external healthcare partners, and works as an advocate for The Center to facilitate operational workflow enhancements or efficiencies.
    • Develop and implement procedures to maintain security, protect systems and meet regulatory requirements.
    • Stay current with technological developments, industry trends, and best practices.
    • Participate in on-call/after-hours support as needed.

    Medical Assistant

    We are seeking a reliable Medical Assistant to join our team for a full time position, Monday – Friday. Our Medical Assistant will work directly with healthcare providers in the examination and treatment of patients. Possibility for 4-day work week if desired. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare patient for exam and treatment. Record patient information such as vital signs, weight and changes in medical history.
    • Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records.
    • Accurately document phone conversations, prescription refills given, samples provided, and appointments for tests and referrals.
    • Write up or electronically enter tests, procedures, referrals, surgeries and work up slips.

    Skills:

    • Previous MA or closely related experience (preferred)
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology

        Medical Records/Intake Specialist

        We are seeking a positive professional to join our Intake team, which is part of the medical records (HIM) department. The Intake Specialist is responsible for gathering and processing all available past and present medical history regarding our patients prior to their arrival for an appointment via face-to-face or telephone interviews as well as assessment and entry of information provided by referring offices.  This is a full-time position. 

         

        Responsibilities:

        • Conduct face-to-face interviews with patients to obtain medical history.
        • Conduct telephone interviews with patient to obtain medical history.
        • Accurately enter medical history information in to the electronic health record.
        • Assist patients with walk up needs regarding Release of Information.

        Skills:

        • Strong basic computer skills.
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
        • Ability to deliver customer service and/or patient care in a manner that promotes goodwill, is timely, efficient and accurate.
        • Experience in a medical setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
        • RHIT preferred but not required.

        Orthopedic Technologist

        We are seeking an Ortho Tech to join our team. We are a busy clinic with 28 orthopedic providers in addition to our neurosurgical and PMR providers. This is a full-time position. We have three separate clinic locations in the Bend/Redmond area that this position would travel to each week.

        Responsibilities:

        • Application and removal of casts and splints.
        • Application and fitting of Durable Medical Equipment (DME).
        • Preparing and assisting with minor surgical procedures using aseptic technique.
        • Directing patients in home rehabilitation exercise programs.
        • Performing minor wound care and suture/staple removal. 

        Skills/Experience:

        • Prior experience in the orthopedic setting is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
        • Bachelor’s degree in AT or degree from an Orthopedic Technology program or related field is required.
        • Current OTC certification is desired but not required.

        Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery

        We are seeking an experienced physician assistant (PA) to join our Neurosurgical team. You will provide support for surgery, hospital rounds, H&P’s, and first call on a rotational basis. You will be part of a two Neurosurgeon, three PA group. Prior neurosurgical or spine experience desired. Our multi-specialty group includes 24 fellowship trained physicians and 21 PAs in a well-established successful practice. NCCPA certification needed. Current Oregon medical license preferred, but not required for applications to be considered. Moving allowance available.

        Registered Nurses

        Cascade Surgicenter (located at The Center in Bend) is seeking experienced RNs, full time or per diem, for positions in Admit/Recovery, Pre-Admission, and Operating Room (OR). Relevant experience required for each position. BLS and current licensure with the Oregon State Board of Nursing is required for all positions. Weekdays only – no weekends.

        Surgical Tech

        Cascade Surgicenter (located at The Center in Bend) is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech to join our team. This can be full-time or per diem. Must have knowledge of all basic set-ups for surgical procedures. Successful completion of OR Surgical Tech course (or equivalent) and 1 year scrubbing experience required. Orthopedic experience preferred. No nights or weekends.
