The
physicians at The Center have a passion for helping our community stay healthy
and active. By providing you with The Center Pedometer, we want to help you get
moving - or stepping- towards optimum health.
Try it! Clip
on your pedometer first thing inthe morning and track your steps all day. By
monitoring the number of steps you take, you can increase that number slowly -
adding 500 more steps a week up to 10, 000 steps and beyond - to continue
weight loss and maximum health benefits.
If you are
new to exercise, it's OK to start slow and build up. We consider pain to be a
great warning signal from your body, so check with your doctor if pain gets in
your way of increased activity. It's always wise to check with your physician
before starting a new exercise plan especially if you have health concerns.
